| Last updated: October 27, 2026 Downy ("the app") is a Mac menu bar app that asks what to do with each new download. It is published by Miguel De Leon ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app handles and why. Contact: [email protected]. Downy does not collect, transmit or share any personal data. Everything it does happens on your Mac. It has no network access, no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. We never see your files or anything about them. To do its job, Downy works with the following, only on your device:
None of this ever leaves your Mac. Downy writes diagnostic messages to the macOS system log on your Mac; file names in those messages are hidden.
Downy runs in Apple's App Sandbox and asks only for what it needs:
The free trial and the unlock are In-App Purchases handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Downy checks your purchase with the App Store on your Mac. We never receive your payment details, Apple Account or any information about you. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your Mac's settings (System Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymous crash reports with us. This is controlled by you and by Apple, not by Downy. Everything Downy stores stays in its own container on your Mac. Quit Downy and delete the app to remove it; your downloaded files stay where they are. Downy does not collect any data from anyone, including children. If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Miguel De Leon, Colombia. [email protected] |
