| Last updated: September 27, 2026 Photy ("the app") is published by Miguel De Leon ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and your choices. Contact: [email protected].
Photos you choose for AI trends. When you start an AI trend, the app uploads the photo you picked (resized, with location and other photo metadata removed) so it can be turned into the result. It's used only to create that result. See section 3 for how long it's kept. AI results. The generated image is stored on our servers so the app can download it, then kept in the gallery on your device. Photos that never leave your device. Photos from the photo booth, the film looks and the editor, including Beauty (face retouching and reshaping), are processed only on your iPhone. Beauty finds faces with Apple's on-device face detection. The face shape it finds is used only for that edit, is never sent anywhere, is not stored, and is never used to identify anyone. Anonymous account. The app creates an anonymous account (a random identifier), used to keep your credit balance, your purchases and your AI trend history (which trend, when, and whether it succeeded). It isn't linked to your name, email or Apple ID. Purchases. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details. To know what you've bought, we receive from Apple and our subscription-management provider (RevenueCat) the products you bought, when, their status (active, renewed, cancelled, refunded) and the store's transaction identifiers, linked to your anonymous account. Reports. If you report an AI result, we store the report (the reason and the result it's about) to review it. Technical logs. Our servers keep short-term technical logs (for example, errors and timings) to run and secure the service. What we don't collect. No name, email, phone number, contacts, precise or coarse location, advertising identifier, browsing history, or analytics about how you use the app. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy first. We use a small number of service providers, only to run Photy:
We don't sell or share your personal data for advertising.
In the app, go to Settings › Delete account. This deletes your account, credits, trend history, any stored photos and results, and your purchase history at our subscription-management provider. Photos in the app's gallery on your iPhone stay on your iPhone; delete them there or delete the app. An active subscription is billed by Apple and keeps renewing until you cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting your account doesn't cancel it. You can also email [email protected] to ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data. Include your purchase receipt if possible, since your account has no name or email. We process your data to provide the service you ask for (contract), to keep the service secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests), and, for AI trends, because you choose to send that photo after we tell you it's processed by an AI partner. You can object to processing, restrict it, and complain to your local data-protection authority. Photy isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used AI trends, contact us and we'll delete the data. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries, with appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Data is encrypted in transit. Each account can only read its own data, and stored photos are private to their account. We'll post any change here with a new "Last updated" date, and tell you in the app if a change is significant.
